Bergingé

Ingrid is a Swedish painter who visited the United States in '59 and never went back home.  Her art is clearly influenced by her early years in Boras, a small textile town in southern Sweden.  The picturesque landscapes evoke a carefree and innocence she idealized in mid century Scandinavia.  Her style is characterized by a meticulous attention to detail, no doubt absorbed from her prominent architect father, Folke Bergh.

Below you will find a sample of some of her paintings that were displayed in a solo show in Lincolnwood, IL last season.
